    Always tank or Healer first, without fail.  Which one of those...is always up for debate, hehe

    I always gravitate to a front line melee fighter of some sort. Usually Warrior dual wield type. Either that or a ranger/hunter type. Though alts do happen and sometimes I end up liking them more!

    I tend to either go Mage or Ranger.  Since I prefer ranged classes.  But my favorite classes were the Mesmer / Necromancer since they were rather unique ranged classes and not the same ole same ole.  I hope with the augmenting system I'll find a primary /secondary class combo  that will have one of those flavors.  Mage/ bard? for mesmer or Mage / summoner? for necromancer.

    Ranger/Assassin type has always been my jump off character

    I usually start with a class that looks like i can farm stuff faster and it's always a 50/50 chance that they become my main.

    I always usually try to become a necromancer, firs thing I do, however sometimes if there is a class that utilizes guns and turrets in general, then I am going to play that as well. There are so many options so it's hard to choose if they have everything that you wanted to play it is already there...

    Melee. Mainly because I really love crafting and gathering and I feel better about being out in the world with a big sword and metal armor.

    I have always been a support/healer and will always be! So probably Bard or Cleric. Perhaps both :smile:

    You know, that is what I have been asking myself ever since i decided i would play this game.

    Thinking of Human Fighter/Mage or Fighter tank
    But depends on the race I pick, if i go with the under relm and if it combines well with the angel skin there might be some other classes involved ;p

    First class would be solid fighter tho and why?

    because it will be easy and versatile and will go well with all other classes

    but that's just me : )

    I always choose the paladin type classes. I like that they tend to have a hybrid playstyle where they are a bit tanky, do decent damage, and usually have some heals. I really like how paladins tend to look and they have all ways been one of my favorite classes!

    As a child i always choose melee, because it was simple and i guess I've just stuck with it. But now recently I like to experiment with all kinds of classes.

    The class that is best at soloing content. I'm an altoholic, and I want to play with my friends, so the class I really want to play I play with friends, but the first char is usually a solo beast.

    I always liked classes with evasive skills, mobility and some significant damaging attacks. added bonuses if they have even a minor way of healing themselves.
    I'd probably be a combination on any one of these classes rogue(primary), warrior, mage, or ranger.
    most probably going rogue/mage

    Rogue/Dagger because of the usual fun factor. Ya, they don't always have the 1v1 advantage, but usually they come with interesting skills that simply make moving around fun.

    I almost always pick the human race as well. Nothing to do with looks, they just usually have balanced stats

    Later, I am almost always tank until end game  :D I think I just get sick of dying and want to be the DPS sponge

    I'm always the healer type! I just like the challenge of reacting to the other players needs. I am a pretty good support/healer so find me when if you need some heals!!

    That's a hard one for me to nail down...I'm multi-skitzy-frany, also known as an Alt-oholic. I suppose I prefer up close fighting usually, with a ranged option....or is it ranged with an up close option... wait... maybe it's support.....nah lets just nuke it.... Oh!! Meat shield....... I'll just let you know after I have toyed with Alpha....

    Either Rogue or Mage, I am always a sucker for high end single target dps. This time around I'll be leveling a Vek Summoner/Cleric and Vek Mage/Mage side by side.

    I usually try out ranger classes first, because the look fun to play.
    But soon after I usually create another toon, melee or tank and end up playing that one instead of the ranger.

    The first character I make would be a mage, but I am quite interested in summoner to. Think it would be a mage though with crafting as secondary if possible. Difficult to say what combinations you could do at the moment.

    If I "could" I would choose a melee healer ala DAoC Friar or a WAR WarriorPriest/DoK. I love wading into battle knowing I am both helping those on the front lines and crushing my enemy at the same time.

    Now since I have no clue if there will be a melee healer type, I might have to go with my second choice, a Rogue of some sort. I'm a much bigger fan of melee as opposed to ranged.

    Tank Usually or some sword and board class. I like to see how the devs fleshed out the fighting animations  then ill usually move onto a mage class..healer usually but sometimes DPS
