I am slightly feeling more mage atm... i am going back on my word! :0
  • Said this in a couple of other places now but will start out with tank, I like to play tank or heals because tank and heals are always the hardest to find in a trinity type game when making a group.
  • Paladin or Monk.

I've always liked the concept of the D&D Paladin: Lawful Good, doesn't run from a fight, stands against the wicked, etc. The problem is that the vast majority of games undermine their ability to DPS, instead forcing them to focus on the "Tank" role of stand there and absorb damage. Pretty sucky for soloing: running around the world doing random good deeds.

As for the Monk, I always picture myself as Caine from Kung Fu. It's awesome.
  • Contrary to my name, I always play an archer first, but with most games, I always have two accounts and make a buffer/healer in the second account. Gots to be strong
  • I mostly go for either Assassin/Rogue or Ranger class, if i know there's alot of players playing Rogue or Assassin in an MMO then i'll play Ranger. Because i'd like to play classes that the majority doesn't play and i've seen that most Rangers are in the shadows from what i know. :)

you sir are the bane of my D&D when I play undead ^^
  • Only play Warrior, specifically Tank. Being a fortress taking and dealing big hits is fun.
  • I tend to love ranged characters, though it can be fun to mix it up toe to toe. I'm thinking bard, but I always get sucked in by any cool archery. I'm hoping that a bard/? will give me a nice blend of support and J.o.a.T. Have to be able to handle those critics, after all!
  • I generally like playing all classes. Whenever I play any MMO I always have alts to play every class.

To both have fun, and also to learn. When you understand each class weaknesses personally (because you played them) you become much more efficient in PvP than if you only played 1 class, regardless of how well you play that class.

Usually I start with an archer or a mage.
  • Rogue/Assasin is normally my first class.
  • I like the healer class or a ranged class.

LOL  Yea, I was in a campaign where a party member got bitten by a vampire and I immediately chopped off his head. The party was like, "WTF?" and the GM was like, "Was that really necessary?".

I was like, "Looks like we need a new Cleric."

this is why I play lich or wraths as I can get away from your hammer
  • Healer. I like to heal the team when I'm in one, and I like the more challenging gameplay from tackling the world on my own.
  • i always try a mage because they are normally the magic find/item farming classes. i can then easily gear out my other characters
  • Tough one, I used to go mages first every time but now mages end up being my second to middle alt ---- I like me the looks of the Cleric as my first class. Then it's easy what alt order I'd play, Summoner --> Mage --> Ranger --> Fighter --> Tank --> Bard --> Rogue -->
  • I play with a friend, we usually go with Tank (me) and healer (her). For solo play I will try each class till I fall on one which I enjoy. That being said, the Bard is an old fave from EQ, so will probably gravitate to that class.
  • Pretty much always a tank, or tanky DPS but usually in a new game I want the security of being nigh unkillable while learning the ropes.
  • Going to have to go with a Ranger/Rouge first simply because I don't like to be hit....It hurts.
  • I always go a Fighter or a Tank something with a sword but I promised myself I would go a magic user this time so I’m going to try Summoner first

I know for a fact I'll be going bard, don't know if I want to pair it with a healer or a caster of some kind. If I can get it to pair with something that plays like a summoner then that's what I'll be rolling with!
  • I usually play a melee class, mostly warrior for most games. I always end up creating the magic classes as well because like I did in Skyrim, I loved being a melee/magic hybrid. So I am so excited for the main class/ sub class set up to create my ultimate character.
  • For me it is always the tank/melee classes and I usually role as a dwarf.
  • Well, tbh, I've always gone with a different class at the start of every mmo :open_mouth:

    1. Star Wars Galaxies: Rifleman/Master Bounty Hunter
    2. Florensia: Warrior/Gladiator (I swapped to excavator pretty fast though)
    3. Aion: Gladiator
    4. Tera: Archer (Switched to Lancer and LOVED IT)
    5. ESO: Templar (Paladin build)
    6. BDO: Sorc (First magic class ever played :open_mouth: )
    7. AoC: Cleric/Fighter, Cleric/Tank or Cleric/Mage (unsure atm but excited to try a healer!)
  • I love to play Glass cannon classes.these guys are usually given decent evasive skills for PvP and dungeons, they take quite a bit of skill to master, but are so much fun when you master them
  • OP:  I started out preferring Mages and I still do, though I have tried starting out as Thief, Ranger, Druid, Cleric, Fighter types too.  I still play healers and occasionally roguish types, but magic is usually a component.
  • for some reason i always main heals not 100% sure why .. but i can't really get into any other class if im not heals im a mage. so im really hoping with this class thing i can go like Summoner/Cleric and have little summons and still be main heals? who knows.
