Ashes will have, last I heard from IS, a mix of tab-target and action skills you can choose from as you build/level your character to focus on the combat style you like best.

I'm still concerned with the step away from realism and what that could mean going forward, even though it's justified in the above quote by steven, it's still a step back from the realism that i was expecting out of ashes, and im worried that there will be more given in the quote he says "The concept of magically animated objects are quite common" - leads me to think that there is more the last thing i want is ridiculous pet's/ mounts etc running around on mass. i.e the below pic from Revelation Online
He actually said lesson learned about marketing possibly controversial assets in future.
More to the point, the crew dont have time to give a real demo for people to get a feel for his plans at the moment.
Thats not necessarily the same thing as not releasing controversial assets.
And the lore can be made to justify anything.
How will they make them all unique, balanced and purposeful.
I would REALLY appreciate a "builder" if you will, prior to the game's release, to see all of the combinations and what the skills look like before i start leveling up characters.
I have about 12 characters i have to create, sooo i need to know this stuff! 😂
So far, I haven't been shown anything that warrants any kind of trust of my funds over. This project feels like it's just one big scam to me and I'm not going to waste my hard earned funds on something that makes me think "it's a scam"

There surely will be a huge onrush of players that cant be handled by one server.
So they´ll have to open a few but after some weeks a great part of the players will already leave and even more after 2-3 months. I´m afraid that will leave many dead servers and will hurt the gameplay experience for the more invested players.
How to avoid that scenario ?

It's a long wait to be sure but that's what you signed up for.
There is no limitation on freehold placement, so just place your freehold right next to his, make it a tavern, decorate it with slum, and invite all kind of slum to it they can pee over the fence to neighboring yard when drunk, throw empty bottles over and stuff.
