I do not mean the hybrid combat: tab target vs action combat, but rather the possibility to do multiple things with you character, e.g. dealing both physical and magical damage. Usually in games, sticking to only a single source of damage yields better results, as the damage (due to the multitude of multiplicators, like: critical chance, critical damage, armor penetration etc.) scales exponentially, rather than linearly. This way, the character doing both: physical and magical damage will never have the same DPS as a character who is dealing only a physical OR magical damage.
Many Thanks, keep up the fantastic work!!
Gala
Thanks!
I know the current stance on addons is "not allowed" but the tool would exist outside of the game. It would however need to collect the game's economic data for modeling. Could projects like this ever expect to garner the support of Intrepid or would this also fall under the same category as in-game addons?
Thanks, I look forward to playing when you launch some day!
I think the map is flat and not a round planet
Is there have Chinese?
Will there be Mount and Armor specific equipment to help make harvesting, processing and crafting easier or much more convenient than if the player was not wearing the Armor or using the mount like in Albion Online
Will battlegrounds and arena be queue-able with groups of friends? If so, how do you plan to balance them, will it be againt other similar sized groups?
ESO for example has only solo queues and I feel this takes away from sharing the experience with friends.
Then I suddenly realised, if you want a coastal node to advance to the next tier, it can only take experience from it's adjacent nodes. The ocean, however doesn't have nodes (or at least I never saw it metion), which means coastal nodes can only take experience from 1-3 directions depending on it's location. That makes it much harder to evolve to the next stage.
Will there be anything in place to help the coastal nodes to advance faster or will a coastal city have any other benefits then harbors to make the grind more worthwhile? (not saying only having harbors isn't already worth it )
I know its still pre-alpha, I'm just looking for a ballpark estimate

For instance, I go kill a bunch of people that were farming resources, collect the loot, then have my buddy kill me to cleanse corruption. Anything I drop he trades me back through the player to player trading. Rinse and repeat for my buddy. For this to be repeated we do the special quests to reduce kill counts so the corruption is manageable. I suppose this would limited to the repeatability of the special quests but hopefully you get my point. You could form a guild off these mechanics and have groups doing it.
In case this question doesn't get picked I think they partially mentioned this while answering another question before. It's here at around 1:02:10

@Liniker and @ariatras - We're currently developing Ashes of Creation to be supported on Windows PC, as mentioned in our support article here: https://ashesofcreation.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016315093-Will-there-be-a-Mac-client-
@ViBunja - We've previously talked about Tulnar combining mammalian, humanoid, and reptilian features among others - you can read more on that here and stay tuned for additional details: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Tulnar#Tulnar_appearance
@Rhaelah - Since node growth and destruction will be different and dynamic on each server, what gets documented for one place may not be the same on all servers, or even valid the next day!
@Beekeeper , @Nyxxa , @LickMyPikachu , @Asokka , @Reth , @Strohliosis , @Andile The Ashen One , @boshean , @Dolyem , @Kionashi , @Amma , and @shakacon - Stay tuned for more details on crafting and artisan info as we get closer to having you help us test those systems!
@zestro - As head-start servers weren't necessarily marked as a "Kickstarter exclusive" like some other items were, stay tuned for additional details on that front in the future.
@Tycondraes , @Leonerdo5 , @Xenotex , @DocFrog , @Boleson , @Yikan , @kyraku , @Vulko , @Altairis , @Imabeast , and @MultiBuild - Keep an eye out for more details on classes, archetypes, and skills as we get closer to when you'll be helping us test them!

@asome101 - We'll be looking for your help and feedback on balancing large-scale combat during testing!
@valerian - From what we've discussed before, family summons would have a long cooldown and node transit would be local-only and up to players to develop: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Family_summon , https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Public_transportation
@Canthrant and @Argentum401 - You can see more on where we've discussed our plans for patches and expansions here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Expansions
@Mazterroo - I'm not quite sure where on the forums you saw that; I'd guess it was most likely a reference to their size making them a 2H weapon.
@BeanSprout - You can read more about guild halls on freeholds here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Guild_halls
@Makkai - That server location page has the most up-to-date info, and we'll continue to keep it updated as we have more details to share on our plans moving forward!
@SoulsOnFire - You can read more about flagging for caravan PvP and stating your intentions here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Caravan_PvP
@Meo - You can read a bit more about where we've talked about aggro/threat/hate before here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Combat#Aggro_abilities
@SixMoved - Stay tuned for more details on Beta server numbers and populations as we get closer to testing!
@BenjiroRyuu - We're still working on that migration process and potential regional shop options as we bring our EU office online; we'll keep you posted as we have further updates!
@Izex - That's a major point of having you help us test so early - so you can provide feedback and we can iterate on it!
@punkte - We've shown some of the development progress behind animations before in things like our Developer Diaries videos, and will continue to do so moving forward: https://ashesofcreation.com/news/2019-06-27-developer-diaries-animation
@chilfang - You can see more of where we've discussed naval content before here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Naval
@joint - We haven't announced any plans to release on Stadia at this time.
@anotherone - We've called out some of our policies already in our Terms of Service and will continue to update it moving forward; we also understand that catching cheaters is a constant battle, and we can't reveal quite all of our secret sauce
@shadekynth - We've been keeping this knowledge base article updated with the latest on our Alpha One plans: https://ashesofcreation.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016315013-What-are-the-Alpha-Beta-Release-dates-
@baconbread - I'm not sure we've ever discussed instanced raids before, only instanced dungeons: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Instancing
@Righteous Voice and @Natheirean - Since players around Verra will be individually contributing in different areas, unless you can literally coordinate everyone on a server to do exactly the same thing in exactly the same palces, you won't see that kind of homogenization.
@Veil Mistwarden - You can check out more about where we've discussed inventory capacity increases from economic nodes here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Inventory
@Mattokamus - You can read more on where we've discussed what you might find during exploration here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Exploration
@AntVictus - It sounds like you already have the latest update on the plans we've shared for Apocalypse testing, but we'll keep you posted if that changes!
@StealthReborn - We don't have any plans to allow gifting at this time: https://ashesofcreation.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026163113-Item-FAQ
@kesarakk - You can check out more on where we've discussed mules before here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Mules
@Gauldruin - You can read more on our plans for our dye system here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Dyes
@Donko - The only way to remove an elected mayor prior to the end of their term is by destroying the node: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Mayors#Node_politics
@yunyunbot - The corruption mechanic would help here; non-combatants can kill corrupted ones who are continually trying to keep others out of certain places like dungeons, since these won't be open world PvP areas like caravans or castle sieges: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/PvP
@nosavynada - I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "reaction radius", sorry about that!
@loghan - Since it sounds like this might be used to circumvent the corruption system and cause additional griefing, I'd guess this is likely a no.
@SoloveyFR - If they're hidden, we can't reveal them to ya
@Varimathra - You can check out more on where we've discussed our philosophy around game difficulty here: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Ashes_of_Creation#Game_difficulty
@SpacialNightmare - We haven't announced any plans to support those particular NVIDIA features, but we'll keep you posted if that changes!
@Xenantaya - Node changes aren't necessarily only catalyzed by players, but also random world events that may occur: https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Events
@Lissana - Check out some of the mage armor we've highlighted during our recent 4K videos and the like; it's not always robes and staves!
@Kneczhevo - We like to share the love as much as we can and answer questions from a variety of folks
As to my knowledge, Steven claimed that the money he had spend was closer to 40 million than 30. This was almost a year ago.
This game will be a lot more expensive given the delay, the extra staff, the new studio and the self-publishing in Europe.
It would be nice to know if Intrepid could give some reassuring words that the project is no longer funded by Steven entirely or how it is funded. It is a fair question to ask about the financial situation of the game if you want to invest in it, also with a game like Chronicle of Elyria (not that they can be directly compared) that got cancelled recently, people could have doubts about if that could happen to Ashes of Creation too.
With the information we currently have, the numbers do not look promising.
But your input is appreciated.
Why would it be a fair question to ask about the financials of a private company? It is their concern, not ours. Nor should they give out private information to the public.
When you say invest in it, what do you mean? I have not heard that they are selling shares. If you mean purchase something like a package of digital items, that is purchasing, not investing.
If you feel that it does not look promising, move on.
I understand you had a lot of people to respond to here and I in no way am discounting that, the fact that you do this in the first place is actually amazing, but his answer was not sufficient for me.
We have not yet seen at what level the combat from Apocalypse would be implemented if at all, and there has been no footage of 3d vector-aimed abilities in AoC itself yet so I was hoping for an actual dev comment on such. I don't mind it not being answered in the stream as I know there are hundreds of questions being asked and I'll just attempt to ask on the next livestream.
@Dreoh Ye that's fair. We've been told that there will be 3d vector-aimed abilities in Ashes like in APOC but guess it doesn't hurt to have it confirmed from another dev on the livestream. Good luck next time! I will resubmit my question as well xd
Fair point!
My counter-point as to why I think it is fair to ask a private company this, is because the Kickstarter and Summerbackers money were actively used as funding for parts of the game. Without those investments, those parts would probably not have made it into the game.
This was stated by Intrepid on the Kickstarter page.
I realize there were goods promised delivered in the investment, but from my point of view, that money is directly invested into the development of the game, no matter if shares are involved or not.
Do you agree?
I have no knowledge about law and the likes, so I might be very wrong.
