Basically, "[we are still working to answer this]"
Also, I believe sieges are 250v250. Will there be any sort of systems in place to discourage zerging being the "best" means of reaching that content?
In New World for example, companies are basically made to spam-recruit anybody who will push influence for them so they can win a war declaration that only 50 players get to participate in. Even though 100 might have pushed the influence.
Sorry I know this question is sort of all over, but hopefully you can see what I'm getting at.
Experience Debt and Corruption have their own separate bars like an exp bar and you need to work them off. They're not on timers. Yes, they are stacked upon death.
1. The contents shown are actually the items gathered/farmed?
2. Can you target the carts and do you need to flag up to attack them?
3. Does the flaging/corruption system apply to carts as well? As in if you destroy someone's cart without them fighting back the attacker gains corruption?
4. When destroyed do carts drop 100% of their contents?
See I understand that, in a system with no punishment or drawbacks, the ugliness and selfishness of some people's character comes to the surface. But the punishing systems (aka corruption here etc..) comes to add a rational component to the emotional reasons. At a certain level of punishment, even if the person is dyiiiiing to kill you and raging inside, they might not do it for the simple reason that the consequence of that action is super punishing for him (dying to bounty hunters and green players, debuff to dmg and CC, dropping equipment, having to grind for hours to remove the corruption etc..).
I get you, some people are just like that and enjoy griefing you or killing for no reason, but I believe that is the main issue the corruption system is aiming to solve.
What I am referencing though is the other extreme, where the punishment is so harsh, and turning combatant providing no benefit (except less death penalty, which in this case will be to mobs since no sane person will make the logical decision to turn red by killing you) that no pvp will take place in the game and everyone will stay green outside of pvp events such as caravans ofc.
What I am asking is : is that the intended direction of the game ? the pvp aspect of the game mainly referencing the compulsory pvp events such as wars and caravans even if no open world pvp takes place ? or does the game want to encourage people flagging up while farming, and contesting highly sought after resources and mobs (and not just first come first serve without pvp involved)
So you are confusing two different topics.
One is Castle Sieges (https://ashes101.com/castlesieges.php)
One is Node Sieges
https://ashes101.com/nodesieges
These are totally different
Castle Sieges are 250 vs 250. The Monarch decides whos on defense, the guild leader who drops the siege flag decides who's on offense.
Node Sieges are uncapped. Citizens are automatically registered as defenders. Everyone else can sign up for defense or offense.
1. What is the current thought on small groups (5-15) players ability to tackle endgame content like raids and pvp sieges? Will there be a robust alliance or federation system allowing many small guilds to rally under one banner for larger group content?
2. What are your thoughts on hidden content? Most games today release with the content data mined and a meta build theorized within days if not hours. Will there be secret item drops/hidden chest rooms/lost ancient crafting methods/mysterious class trainers offering advanced skill trainings, that will provide hidden additional progression paths?
"Artisans within Ashes of Creation must choose a path in their artisan skill tree. This inter-dependency establishes a supply chain from raw materials to finished product.[11][12] Each stage of the chain may require caravans to transport goods from one artisan to another.[4]
Obtaining raw materials:[13]
Using the Gathering profession.[13]
By killing mobs and bosses.[14][13]
From deconstructing weapons or armor.[13]
By purchasing them from other players.[13]
Refining the raw materials with the Processing profession.[12]
Crafting the finished product using its crafting recipe.[12]
Recipes are also obtainable from boss drops.[15][12]"

"Node redevelopment
A node that was successfully destroyed by a node siege may develop differently due to the following influences:[3][39]
Different races becoming primary contributors.[3][39]
Design elements determined by different governments.[3][39]
Reactions and interactions with other nodes in the world.[3][39]"

"Safe zones
Jump to navigationJump to search
Players cannot PvP while inside (the footprint of)[1] a freehold (except following a successful node siege).[2][3]
Players are not able to be attacked or robbed while occupying their player stall inside the limits of a node.[4]"
"PvP/PvE servers
There won't be separate roleplaying (RP) servers.[5]
There won't be separate PvE and PvP servers.[6]"

"Server prime-time
Objective-based PvP events such as node sieges, castle sieges, guild wars, and node wars will occur within a prime-time window somewhere between 3PM and 9PM server time. This is subject to testing.[9][10][27]
Guild wars and node wars can be declared at any time, but the objectives will only spawn during the prime-time window.[28]"

"A player may choose a secondary archetype when they reach level 25.[4] The combination of primary and secondary archetypes is referred to as a class.[4][1][5]
The secondary archetype does not provide additional skills.[11]"

"Persistent alpha
Alpha-2 is known as the persistent alpha.[33][34] Persistent means that the Alpha-2 servers will be kept up all day and night until launch.[33]
There will be downtime for patches.[37]
There may still be character and testing wipes.[38][33]
Alpha-2 servers will become the public test servers (PTS) post-launch.[38][33]
Used to test patches and updates.
Beta-1 and Beta-2 will probably not be persistent.[33]
All servers will be wiped prior to launch.[39]"

"Seasons affect different zones (environments/biomes) based on their location in the world.[2][3]
Some biomes will have seasons that are less (or more) temperate. For example: Northern, Southern and Tropical regions.[4] Other biomes will have fixed climates.[5]
Biomes that are affected by seasonal cycles may experience drastic visual differences between seasons.[2]
Events may radically change the current season a zone is in, or elongate it.[6][7] This includes weather changes.[3]
There will also be magical seasons where you might be in a tropical zone and suddenly it's snowing.[4]
Items, crop cycles, buildings, and crafting mechanics might gain certain buffs or debuffs in certain seasons.[6][8][3]
Ocean and underwater areas will not have seasonal changes.[9]"

"Localization
Ashes of Creation is aiming to be available in the following languages: English, French, German, Russian, Italian, Polish, Spanish, and Portuguese.[3][4][5][6]
Previously it was stated that English, French, German, and Russian will be supported then Italian, Polish and Spanish be added later.[4][7]
Other languages are being considered based on interest.[3][5][6]
User interface localization tools are available in the chat window.[8]"
