It seems like the Node will grow depending on what is going on around it. As more people do a certain thing there.

These will help a lot on figuring out what the Node will do and offer and the paths that they take.

There are a lot of ups and downs when it comes to Kickstarters, but you are putting money towards its completion. We all are. Sometimes dates are nice but I think them being upfront that dates are going to come out later help more. I rather see a TBD ( to-be-determined) over a date getting pushed back over and over again.

I've been following this game for a while and hope it goes well, our support really pushes toward that goal. While we are taking risks on if we like the game or not. It all depends on you. If you don't want the risk a lower amount would be idea or you could wait tell the game comes out.

It seems like all of the creators are hugely against PTW, so I don't see that happening at all. They really want to move away from that.

As for the second part. I'm unsure. I don't think movement between servers would be all that good of an idea. While you would still have your character, nothing else would be able to go with you. They wouldn't be able to move the node you put work into on building.

Steven has announced that they are in the process of employing more people.

In addition, the current staff is highly capable as well as using the U4 Engine relieves some stress on the amount of work needed.

From my experience in Archeage, South American players were able to play with us on NA servers just find. Though we should make the devs of AoC aware that there is a large market for this kind of game from that region.

I'm unsure of where to ask this, so I hope this is ok.

What is the developers view regarding multi-boxing?

I understand that the players can get terribly emotional about this and would rather it didn't happen, however I'm hopeful that this game will be a great environment for roleplayers.

I like roleplaying two characters at once in such environments, this requires two pc's.

I would love to invest in a second ashes of creation account via the kickstarter, however don't want to do so if my ip is blocked due to already playing on a separate pc.

Is me playing the game on two pc's at the same time going to be allowed or not?

I beg of you all, please no hate or angry responses... my motives are only for good.
I might be prejudice however believe that a healthy roleplay community is a benefit to a game..... look at LOTRO, it's largely still going simply because of it's rp'er die hard fans.
Yes, some people use multiboxing as a way to gain an advantage, I honestly am looking to see if, for instance, two people or computers in the same house might be able to play at once without anything like ip blocks or bans imposed.

    Cheers my dears for reading.

Like most games you'd be able to play if you have two separate accounts for the game. I can't see you being blocked? But you will most likely need to buy two accounts. ????

Figured I'd also put this on the FAQs forum.
Can you shed some more light on the subject of horses? Such as breeding? Will the highest quality of horse be bred, captured, perhaps even purchased in game? I only ask simply because I would love to breed and raise horses, to possibly even be sought after for having high quality horses. I've been waiting for this topic to be touched on in the live streams.. though it seems everyone is obsessed with the violent side of the game. I'm dying to hear more about it's beauty and not just who can PvP who and where.

This game looks very cool. I am seriously considering playing it. My only concern is the PVP aspects. As many have mentioned, PVP by convent is ok but I don't like games where high level characters trounce lower level ones. I play games to have fun, not to get frustrated that every time I head out I get trashed by some 9 yr old who loves trashing people constantly. It's about as bad as hackers. Ruins the game. PVP belongs in its rightful place where people can go who are into that sort of thing.

So the question is very simple: is PVP by consent or is this just a big part of the game.

PvP is not by consent. PvP is a HUGE aspect of this game as they've been saying in almost every live stream. However there will be penalties to PK'ing without the users consent. If you go and watch any of the live streams(on twitch) there is more information on everything PvP. But in short to answer your question, no PvP is not consent based and they may choose to kill you if they wish. They will however experience penalties for PK'ing non combatant players, one such example is becoming less effective in their abilities.

I am super hyped for this game, but there are also a few questions I would like to have confirmed or declined as I go down the track of that hype train.

Q: As this is a game which will have summer, fall, winter and spring seasons, will this have an impact on your character's performance on the field in sense of body temperature and the environmental temperature? Let's say during daytime in a winter you have 14 degrees Fahrenheit in the environment and as the sun goes down it suddenly decreases down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Is this something you're planning on adding to the time cycle of the game and the seasons? Also would this mean that a character would need to find shelter in the night blizzard in order to freeze, eventually lighting a fire or have warm clothes in order to stay warm?

Q: Also in regards to the previous question; let's say that you're wearing a summer attire in a winter environment, would this put your character in jeopardy as he or she would eventually be really cold and freeze? Also vice versa, if you're wearing a heavy armor in a warm summer day, would this put you more in jeopardy in sense of how long your character can go without having a break from the battle than he would for example on a mild spring day?

Q: I am a huge fan of your node system. A quick question though, as seen demonstrated in your YouTube videos where you explain how the node system work and that crafting, killing beasts and performing quests which will give you an income in sense of EXP to both yourself and the node. Does this mean when you're chopping down trees and working in a mine, you'd have to work together with other players dedicated in that node to actually build each building manually or will there be like a system where it goes "poof" and everything is there?

Q: In large player Sieges and such, will the assaulting team be able to build dynamic battle trenches in the environment surrounding the node they are attempting to invade?

Q: This question is in regards to your combat system. I do understand that you have put the goods of both quick targeting combat and active combat and merge them into your own combat system. If I am not mistaken that is quite similar to Guild Wars 2's combat system as you said there will be an ability to dodge attacks as well. However my question is, is there is going to be an ability to block incoming attacks? Like for example you can block an incoming arrow or a sword swing with your shield or block that incoming sword swing with your own sword as this would bring in some additional skill to how people play and who can duel the longest on the field?

Q: Can your shield be broken or dropped out of your hand due to too much damage taken to the shield during combat?

Absolutely in love with this game so far. And I haven't even got my hands on it yet! :)

If PVP is not intrusive to gameplay, then I think I can live with that. Hopefully that is the case. I tried playing EQ2 on PVP and got extremely frustrated because once you leave the starting area, you are in open play. I could not even get to my next quest because some guys kept killing me. I am sure they thought it was funny as hell, but I simply deleted my character and never went back to PVP (in EQ2) since.

Deluca currently that much detail on seasons has not been revealed, however this video has the best explanation about weather I've seen so far! Right at 20:30 the question about seasons is asked! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIVnt8SDdrY

I do believe that the buildings will "poof" so to speak. There has been questions regarding other scenarios that lightly touch on the subject of your question. Though there is no concrete information on the specifics, an educated guess points towards "poof" buildings. However keep in mind once a node has reached level 5 the governing users will be able to choose what kinds of buildings are manifested in the metropolis. Again no direct answer but we can safely assume users wont be personally hauling around wood and bricks to create the buildings themselves. I wouldn't be surprised though if users had to gather their own supplies to build freeholds.

I apologize for not having answers to all of your questions. I hope this helped a bit.

Please tell me you have plans to bring this on to consoles?

Hi! Finding it pretty hard not to get too hyped about AoC, the game looks beautiful and the node concept sounds awesome!

I wanted to ask a couple of questions. I've seen a lot of the Live Q&A's but I haven't seen anybody ask about how your characters level up and what the level cap would be?

Another question is, will there be dungeon/raid instances? Aka, go through some sort of door/portal with a group of friends and are separated from anyone else entering, or are all bosses public bosses?

My apologies if these questions have already been answered =))

Nothing is confirmed or guaranteed, however they've hinted at it being a possibility(way way down the line). This was actually in a video Q and A, I'm sorry I cannot remember which of the videos though :p

I don't know if they've laid down the level cap just yet. I do believe leveling is the same as other games though, such as quests.

Yes and yes, they've spoken about dungeons a few times!

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. The video shown was a rogue with the ranger as it's secondary, called a predator. You get a main class and at a later time a choice for a secondary that can potentially alter how you play. You may choose to double down for added benefits or as the video shows choose a different secondary for benefits. So no an archer is not an assassin. I hope I've answered your question!

You can absolutely go rogue and rogue again as a secondary!
